About Us

Suzi's Sweet Shoppe has been creating sweet memories in our community since 1998. For nearly three decades, the shop has been known for its homemade chocolates, hand-dipped confections, creamy fudge, and beautifully crafted gifts. Over the years, generations of families have made Suzi's part of their holidays, celebrations, milestones, and everyday moments.

Today, we're honored to be the proud owners of Suzi's Sweet Shoppe and to continue that tradition.

We're Tara and Rick, and although our careers began outside of the chocolate industry, we've always shared a passion for building meaningful relationships and creating memorable experiences. Tara spent her career in Human Resources, most recently serving as the Global HR Director for a publicly traded biotechnology company, while Rick is the Director of Operations for a construction company.

The moment we walked into Suzi's, we knew it was something special. It wasn't just the incredible chocolate, it was the warmth, the history, the loyal customers, and the sense of community that filled the shop. We could immediately picture our family becoming part of that story and helping preserve a place that has meant so much to so many people. From that moment on, we knew we wanted to carry on Suzi's legacy while thoughtfully writing its next chapter.

Our vision is simple: keep the heart of Suzi's the same while embracing creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement. Whether we're introducing new products, enhancing the customer experience, or finding ways to make ordering even easier, every decision is guided by the traditions that have made this shop a local favorite for nearly three decades.

Everything we do is centered around quality, craftsmanship, and helping our customers celebrate life's sweetest moments. From handcrafted chocolates and fresh chocolate-covered strawberries to custom gifts, party favors, and corporate orders, we're proud to continue making many of our products by hand, right here in the shop.

Just like those before us, we believe that being part of this community means giving back to it. Supporting local schools, nonprofits, charities, and community organizations remains an important part of who we are, and we're grateful for every opportunity to make a difference.

When we're not in the shop, you'll usually find us spending time with family and friends, traveling, discovering new restaurants, staying active, relaxing at the beach, or enjoying a good book.
