Now you may be wondering just what could be keeping us so busy now that the holidays are over, but there’s still one more holiday on our calendars and it’s arguably the most important holiday for us at Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe…
It’s almost Valentine’s Day!
While Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukah, and New Year are pretty great holidays too, Valentine’s Day is a special holiday for us here because it’s primarily about chocolate…and of course, your loved one! So while we’re preparing our decadent homemade fudges, rich and creamy chocolate confectionaries like our truffles, and our customer favorite hand-dipped chocolate-covered pretzels, we thought we’d share a couple of fun date ideas to help you plan something special for your Valentine. As much as we’d like to believe V-Day is solely about eating some amazing chocolate, we know it’s about spending time with the one you love. So here are some laid back date ideas to help you plan a night for just the two of you:
Date Idea #1: A Candlelit Dinner
It all starts with a chocolate-covered bottle of wine. You read that correctly! At Suzi’s Sweet Shoppe, we’re able to cover any bottle of wine you’d like to provide with chocolate, so not only will you have a splendid drink with your meal but you’ll also have our decadent chocolate within reach for dessert! Speaking of dessert, it wouldn’t be Valentine’s Day without our freshly dipped chocolate-covered strawberries! Or perhaps it’s our box of heaven featuring six chocolate-covered cookies all wrapped in red for Valentine’s Day that has your heart?
Date Idea #2:
While dinner is always nice, maybe you’re looking for something a little more adventurous or are looking to check something off your “bucket-list.” Sweep your Valentine off their feet with a bouquet of our chocolate roses or a heart-shaped assortment of our famous chocolate truffles before heading out to your destination. There’s nothing more romantic than showing up on their doorstep and whisking them away to that museum exhibit they’ve been gushing about or the movie they’ve been hoping to see. Maybe it’s a stroll in the park if the weather is nice enough…or you could try to spot some seals along the coast if the weather’s cold enough! Even if the weather is frosty, there’s still tons of things to do on Valentine’s Day if you’d prefer to experience something new than plan a dinner date.
